November 2022 Update
While the war in Ukraine no longer tops the headlines each day, its disastrous consequences continue to affect millions—weary and desperate Ukrainians in and out of country, the numerous aid organizations, and those who still have beloved family and friends on the battle lines of the war. But Christ is at work through the Insight for Living Ministries regional offices in Poland and Romania to offer timely aid to those in dire situations! These teams operate through strategic partnerships with local churches and other organizations to:
- transport Ukrainians needing to flee their beloved, war-torn country to safer lands
- deliver life’s necessities to desperate communities in Ukraine
- provide food, shelter, clothing, spiritual support, and additional care to displaced Ukrainians in Bucharest, Romania and Wroclaw, Poland
IFLM Poland has focused on long-term care by renting apartments to provide housing and stability for about 40 refugees—many of whom are women and children. Plus, they have prepared food and household necessities for delivery to 350 families living in Lutsk, Ukraine. They are helping meet great challenges for a large and growing Ukrainian refugee population in Wroclaw, about 300 miles west of the Ukraine border!
IFLM Romania, through its joint work with several ministries, has focused on meeting immediate needs by helping send dozens of convoys to deliver necessities across the border and bring back those who can no longer remain in Ukraine. Ben, IFLM Romania’s pastor, recently led one of these convoys himself—a 27-hour round trip! This coalition of ministries has helped deliver more than 134 tons of food into Ukraine and provide shelter to approximately 5,000 displaced Ukrainians throughout Bucharest.
Each regional office is spreading the love and strength of Christ through its countless opportunities to pray, share from the Scriptures, and come alongside these desperate souls as a comforting presence. Please pray for these ministries and even consider making a special, one-time donation at the bottom of the page to help with this urgent crisis.
