Is the church meant to be a comfort zone, or a training camp?
It is easy to view the local church as a place of refuge—a sanctuary where we escape the pressures of the world. And while it offers comfort, it has a far more robust purpose. The church is not just a waiting room for heaven; it is God’s primary training ground for soldiers of the faith.
In this focused video, “Tested, Approved,” we look at the vital role the church plays in shaping us. Just as an athlete endures rigorous training to be fit for competition, we too must undergo spiritual conditioning. We are here to be tested, to be challenged, and ultimately, to be approved as workmen who do not need to be ashamed.
In this call to action, we examine:
- The Church as Bootcamp: Understanding that our gathering is about preparation for service, not just passive observation.
- Discipleship in Action: The process of moving from a curious convert to a committed, spiritually fit disciple.
- Ready for Service: How proper training equips us to handle the challenges of life and ministry with integrity.
My friend, do not settle for being a spectator in the pews. Let’s embrace the training, endure the testing, and emerge as approved servants ready for the Master’s use.
