“A New Beginning—Worth Waiting For” from the series Changing Wanderers into Worshipers: From the Exodus to the Promised Land
Exodus 12:29–36, 40–42
Some things are really worth waiting for. And the better they are, the more they’re worth the wait! But it’s hard to be patient—especially if you’re a slave. The ancient Hebrews knew what it meant to live in bondage to a cruel taskmaster, and they knew what it meant to hunger for freedom. They waited for more than 400 bitter years, but the sweet taste of freedom was worth it. Can you remember your slavery, when you were unable to free yourself from the bondage of sin? Do you remember when Christ set you free? It was worth the wait, wasn’t it? So let the celebration begin!
