In September 1988, Insight for Living began its Portuguese-language ministry in Brazil partnering with Trans World Radio in Sao Paulo. The original voice of Dr. Swindoll in Portuguese was Sergio Paulo da Silva. Three years ago, Fernando Bochio became the official voice of Dr. Swindoll and counselor for the ministry, as he also serves as pastor of Metropolitan Baptist Church in São Paulo. The ministry grew steadily and added more stations airing the broadcast. It became apparent we would need to establish a local office in the country.
